Emotional regulation is the way we manage and respond to emotional experience. For teenage girls who are struggling with depression, anxiety or self-esteem, this can get in the way of forming positive social connections, problem solving, and/or school and home life. The group will focus on learning social emotional skills to respond to lived emotional experiences. The therapist leading the group will teach strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness skills.
The therapist will cover themes and skills that address depression, anxiety, school, life and self-esteem stressors.

EmpowerHer Emotions Circle is a 6-week group for teenage girls ages 13-17. It is scheduled to begin Tuesday November 12th. The group will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm, via a secure virtual platform. We strongly encourage participants to attend every group session to maintain group cohesion and to get the most out of the group experience.
This group is not a psychotherapy group; it is a psychoeducational group and this type of group is for educational purposes and skill development. This group is not to replace therapy, and your teen should consult with her therapist for ongoing care if needed.
This is a private pay group. The fee per session is $85. Save $60 by paying upfront for all six sessions, bringing your total to $450 instead of $510.
